According to a Shangers legend, a teapot can come to life when it is used to imagine or dream of Teaopolis. When this happens, the teapot turns into a TEAPOTOMUS.
A TEAPOTOMUS can be plain or vibrantly decorated. With the help of humans the TEAPOTOMUS can be given all sorts of special distinguishing features for example, ears or teeth! A TEAPOTOMUS loves to be painted in bright, bold colours and completed with eyes, mouth and decorated trunk (spout).
Even though they have come to life, most TEAPOTOMUS species are tame and continue to be useful to humans when tea is served.
The TEAPOTOMUS creatures that live in the wild are usually very independent and shy with adults, but friendly towards children.

TEAPOTOMUS-spotting is a growing activity and those wishing to participate should understand that a genuine TEAPOTOMUS will have come from or visited (through imagination) the Island of Teaopolis.
If through pottery class or arts and crafts you help create a TEAPOTOMUS send an email to mail@shangers.com with a picture of your special specimen and a description of its character and we will issue you with a TEAPOTOUS REGISTRATION NUMBER. If possible, this number should be painted onto the base of your pet TEAPOTOMUS. We will log your picture identity and number on our website and using only your town and/or country. For security reasons, no personal details will be displayed.
Help to protect this valuable species by caring for your TEAPOTOMUS, and when the time comes, hand it down to the next generation.

OUR NEWEST TEAPOTOMUS -
BREW POTOMUS
Now BREW is settled in at The Teaopolis Dolls Café. The Café is located close to the Shangers Express Rail Station and the Shangers Flying Cup & Saucer Pad. This is the tea room where Princess Teana and her friends take their dolls and tea bears for afternoon tea.
